An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Joinery Estimator to join a well-established and growing fit-out contractor based in Bradford. Specialising in high-quality bespoke joinery for commercial projects, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering premium solutions across a varied project portfolio. Due to a healthy pipeline of work, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to take ownership of pricing and tendering activities, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, managing multiple tenders and producing accurate costings for bespoke joinery and fit-out projects.
- Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans from drawings and specifications
- Producing accurate take-offs for bespoke joinery packages
- Managing and overseeing multiple tenders simultaneously (typically 2-5 projects)
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process
- Negotiating prices with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value
- Attending client meetings and occasional site visits as required
- Projects typically ranging from £100k - £1m+ across commercial fit-out schemes
- Supporting continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Estimator role within joinery, fit-out or construction
- Strong understanding of bespoke joinery and/or bench joinery (advantageous)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
