An established and highly respected distributor within the construction industry is looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join its growing team in Barking. The company supplies a wide range of specialist products across insulation, drylining, HVAC, technical insulation, roofing, fire protection, building envelopes, offsite construction, and modular building sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to develop their career within a supportive and expanding business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in generating revenue, developing customer relationships, winning new business, and providing expert product support to customers within the insulation and drylining markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and convert new sales opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Generate leads and proactively engage with prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing client accounts.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and provide product recommendations and advice.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, and new product innovations.
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Offer credit facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Internal Sales position.
  • Experience within the construction industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of insulation, drylining, or building materials products is preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded, target-driven, and proactive in approach.
  • Competent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to analyse sales performance and identify growth opportunities.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary of £33,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
