Salary: £14.50 - £15.03 per hour

Due to continued growth, our client, a leading logistics and general haulage business, is seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage across the UK
  • Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles whilst working away during the week
  • Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
  • Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points
  • Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • ADR Licence would be advantageous
  • Willingness to work away from home during the working week
