Design Engineer required for a well-established equipment manufacturer based near Leek, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilising Solidworks to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Position Overview:
- Designing systems and products with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
- Preparing detailed specifications and technical drawings
- Researching suitable solutions and producing cost quotations
- Producing electrical harness drawings using 3D design software
- Creating Bill of Materials
- Ensuring projects meet legal and safety requirements
Position Requirements:
- Either degree qualified within an Engineering related subject or equivalent experience within a Design Engineering role
- Proficient with the use of Solidworks
- Based in a commutable distance of Leek, Staffordshire
- Able to communicate appropriately with suppliers and customers
- IT literate with the use of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
Remuneration:
- Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 - Depending on experience
- Permanent position
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday 08:00 - 14:30
- 32 days holiday, including bank holidays
