We are representing an independently owned, Director-led construction consultancy, who due to continued growth are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them in their Faversham office. Whether you are an experienced QS ready to manage your own projects or a Senior QS looking to lead commissions and influence business growth, this role offers real autonomy, client exposure across healthcare, education, and local government sectors, and direct support from the Directors.

- Salary: £40,000 - £67,000 DOE
- 31 to 34 days' annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown, depending on level)

Job Overview
- Lead or manage multiple commissions from feasibility and cost planning through to final account
- Act as the client's main day-to-day contact and trusted commercial adviser
- Prepare estimates, Elemental Cost Plans, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation
- Manage procurement, tender analysis, contract preparation, and negotiations
- Produce and present project financial and cost reports to clients and stakeholders
- Manage interim valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts
- Lead client, design-team, and project meetings
- Option to undertake Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent roles where appropriate
- Mentor and support the development of Graduate and Assistant Surveyors
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or another relevant qualification
- Solid client-side construction consultancy experience
- Proven track record of pre- and post-contract cost management
- Strong knowledge of procurement routes and standard construction contracts
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise clients directly
- MRICS status is advantageous but not essential
- Proactive, organized approach with strong commercial awareness
