Job Overview
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a varied client portfolio, processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and online payment platforms.
- Assist senior team members with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Act as a polite and professional point of contact for clients, handling everyday queries and building positive relationships.
- Assist with client payroll processing, tax administration, and routine communications with HMRC.
- Support the wider accounts team with basic sole trader accounts and administrative tasks.
Job Requirements
- Little to no prior experience required; desire to begin a career in accountancy practice.
- Studying towards or possessing an interest in starting AAT Level 2 qualifications.
- High numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and clients.
