This role is for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join a growing workshop team, supporting both maintenance and repair of specialist diesel-powered equipment.
Role Overview- Service, repair, and maintain a range of diesel-powered pumps and industrial equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults efficiently in a workshop and occasionally on-site
- Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to minimise equipment downtime
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality
- Support continuous improvement of workshop processes and maintenance practices
- Strong proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
- Solid understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems (essential)
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs independently
- Hydraulic experience is beneficial but not essential
- Electrical experience is an advantage but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small technical team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- £35,000- £40,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
- 40-45 hour working week
