Job Overview:

  • Working on a range of commercial, educational, residential, health and leisure sectors
  • Attending client meetings and scheme design
  • Working on all aspects of projects—from conceptual scheme design to construction on site
  • Managing relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams
  • Modeling and designing using cutting‐edge software
  • Writing reports and liaising with contractors and clients
  • Mentoring junior engineers

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years' experience within a UK consultancy
  • Experience with software such as TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS
  • Ability to design to British Standards or Eurocode
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and load‐bearing masonry structures (essential)
  • BEng or MEng Civil / Structural Engineering or Engineering Design
  • Chartered member of the relevant body such as the IStructE
  • Experience across several sectors—commercial, educational, residential, health, and leisure
  • Experience of conceptual design, project management (including programming works), and leading a small team
