We are representing an independently owned, Director-led construction consultancy, who due to continued growth are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join them in their Faversham office. Graduates looking to take their first step into the industry are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Working alongside experienced Surveyors and Directors, you will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle within sectors like healthcare, education, and local government, while receiving structured mentoring towards your RICS APC.

Job Overview

  • Undertake measurement and quantification of construction works
  • Research and build construction rates
  • Prepare estimates and Elemental Cost Plans
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities and pricing documents
  • Assist with value engineering and option appraisals
  • Prepare tender documentation and analyze contractor tenders
  • Prepare and collate contract documentation
  • Accompany senior team members at client, design-team, and site meetings
  • Prepare meeting records, project correspondence, and financial reports
  • Assess interim valuations, quantify/value variations, and support final accounts

Requirements

  • Completed, or completing, a Quantity Surveying or RICS-accredited degree
  • Suitable for recent Graduates OR Assistant Quantity Surveyors with prior consultancy experience
  • Genuine desire to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying and achieve Chartered status
  • Curious, organized, and proactive mindset
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
