Bennett and Game are currently on the lookout for a skilled Fabrication Technician for one of our longest standing clients based in Bedford who work within the automated solutions of the engineering industry. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Fabrication Technician with a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing. The ideal individual should have a flexible approach to working, be trustworthy and confident to work independently with strong attention to detail. Please note – this role is a late shift working pattern (14:00PM to 00:00AM) (40 Hours a week). So if you are not able to do that shift or work 1 weekend a month, please do not apply. Fabrication Technician Job Overview Carry out fabrication preparation processes. Use fabrication tools and grinder tools. Ensuring metal components are prepared, clean and scratch free. Loading, unloading and operating the automated washers. Supporting the welding and fabrication team. Use of pillar tools. Fabrication Technician Job Requirements A background of working in fabrication. Knowledge of fabrication, grinder and pillar tools. Appetite to learn new processes within the sheet metal department. Based within a commutable distance of Bedford. Full UK driving licence would be beneficial. Fabrication Technician Salary & Benefits. Salary – £28,000 to £32,000 – DOE. Working hours: – 14:00PM -00:00AM (40-hour rolling work pattern). Shift pattern – 4 days on, 3 days off, etc. (1 weekend per month) 8% employer pension. 22 days holiday + bank holidays.
