Role Overview
An established UK construction contractor is seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to support organic business growth within the asphalt surfacing sector. The role focuses on managing existing key accounts while developing new client relationships across contractors, developers and stakeholders nationwide.
You'll act as the primary client interface, driving revenue through strategic account planning, tender support and relationship management.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients
- Act as main point of contact for assigned accounts
- Identify new business opportunities and grow market share
- Produce tailored account strategies to drive organic growth
- Prepare tender documentation including quality submissions and compliance packs
- Provide weekly pipeline forecasts to Regional Sales Manager
- Maintain accurate CRM records (contacts, emails, phone numbers, LinkedIn)
- Support clients through bid processes to secure contracts
- Follow up quotations and gather client feedback
- Attend client meetings and foster partnerships
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Liaise with internal sales, operations, marketing and customer support teams
- Ensure client expectations and deadlines are met
Requirements
