They are hiring for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team, taking ownership of the company's credit and collection processes, ensuring timely payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and more.

Credit Controller Job Responsibilities- Manage and monitor the debtor ledger, proactively chasing overdue payments.
- Communicate professionally with clients to resolve queries and secure payment.
- Maintain accurate records of all debtor communications and actions.
- Prepare aged debt reports, month-end reconciliations, and management analysis.
- Work closely with fee earners, client leads, and partners to improve cash collection.
- Issue Letters Before Action and recommend escalation or legal action where appropriate.
- Prepare court claim documentation when required.
- Manage workload effectively and support wider finance duties as needed.
- Established credit control experience.
- Familiar with Sage 200 accounts.
- Proficient in MS Office - Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Experience in data entry.
- Experience producing aged debt reports.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving techniques within a finance environment.
- Understanding of relevant financial regulations, data protection, and company policies.
