Our client, a growing distribution company, are actively looking for a proactive, hands-on Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including stock management, order fulfilment, goods in and out, and process improvement.
Job Overview
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Coordinate with other teams and external partners for smooth logistics and stock flow.
- Monitor performance using relevant systems and tools.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a small team to ensure productivity, safety, and collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience managing warehouse or distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse processes.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, ERP systems, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or continuous improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Technical skills including pivot steer forklift operation certification and accurate stock handling.
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000 - £40,000 (negotiable for an exceptional candidate)
- Profit-share bonus
- Full-time, onsite position (Monday-Friday, 8-5)
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
- Earn an extra day of holiday each year of service (up to 5 additional days)
