We are seeking an experienced and proactive Document Controller to join our team, supporting key infrastructure projects while following established Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile civil engineering and environmental projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project documentation is effectively managed, validated, and compliant with relevant standards and protocols.
Job Overview- Work within company policies, procedures, and BIM protocols, ensuring compliance with BS 19650 file-naming conventions and BEP requirements.
- Upload, validate, and issue documentation in line with project workflows and processes.
- Support the Project Data Manager, coordinating workflows and reporting on statistics.
- Manage and maintain the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) documentation, creating placeholders as needed.
- Provide training and support in the use of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and promote its benefits across project teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with design and delivery teams to encourage best practices and innovation across projects.
- Identify improvements and advancements in digital technology, reviewing and implementing solutions with colleagues.
- Extend and promote CDE systems to suppliers, clients, and subcontractors through training and demonstrations.
- Stay up to date with advancements in digital construction technology.
- Experience using CDE software systems, such as BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (desirable).
- Strong understanding of information and construction management systems, ideally within the construction industry.
- Practical knowledge of BIM processes and their application in contracting environments (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven training and presentation skills.
- Full driving licence and CSCS card.
