Bennett & Game are pleased to be working with a growing specialist engineering and infrastructure group seeking an experienced Group Project Planner.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of marine, civil engineering, coastal and specialist infrastructure projects, supporting multiple operating businesses across the Group.

The successful candidate will provide planning support across tender-stage and live projects, improving programme visibility, resource planning, project control and commercial risk management.

Key Responsibilities Manage multiple live and tender-stage programmes across the Group.

Develop and maintain NEC4-compliant programmes, including baseline, accepted and revised programmes.

Translate construction methodologies into programme logic, sequencing, dependencies and critical path analysis.

Incorporate marine, environmental, weather and access constraints into programmes.

Analyse labour, marine plant, specialist equipment and resource requirements.

Support delay and change management, including compensation events and early warnings.

Produce recovery, acceleration and impacted programmes where required.

Develop tender programmes aligned with contract requirements and construction methodologies.

Produce programme updates, dashboards and reports for operational, commercial and senior stakeholders.

Communicate programme risks clearly and work collaboratively across multiple businesses.

Role Requirements Previous experience as a Planner / Project Planner / Construction Planner within civil engineering or infrastructure.

Strong construction planning experience, ideally within heavy civils, marine, coastal, piling, flood defence or near-water works.

Experience managing multiple programmes concurrently.

Strong understanding of NEC4 programme requirements, including programme acceptance, updates and compensation events.

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, dependencies and critical path analysis.

Microsoft Project experience is essential, alongside strong Excel skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Tender planning experience would be advantageous.

Experience with delay analysis, recovery or acceleration programmes would be beneficial.

Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 experience would be advantageous.

Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline would be beneficial.

ICE or CIOB membership advantageous but not essential.
