Our client is a well-established British manufacturer specialising in the design and production of high-quality power generation equipment for commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure applications. With a reputation for engineering excellence, they manufacture robust diesel generator sets, bespoke power solutions and fuel storage systems for customers across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled Painter / Welder to join their manufacturing team in Daventry.

The successful candidate will have experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment, carrying out both MIG welding and industrial paint preparation/application on fabricated steel products. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer offering long-term stability and overtime opportunities.

Painter / Welder Job Overview
  • MIG welding and fabrication of generator canopies, chassis and associated steel fabrications
  • Preparing fabricated steel components ready for painting, including sanding, cleaning and masking
  • Applying industrial coatings using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Carrying out fabrication, repair and finishing work where required
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Painter / Welder Job Requirements
  • Previous experience within a fabrication, welding or industrial paint shop environment
  • MIG welding experience on mild steel fabrications
  • Experience preparing and spraying fabricated steel products
  • Ability to read engineering drawings would be advantageous
  • High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Based within a commutable distance of Daventry
Painter / Welder Salary & Benefits
  • Salary £32,000 - £35,000 DOE
  • Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 15:30
  • 29 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
  • Overtime available
