Our client is seeking a Close Control Commissioning Engineer to provide engineering support to the regional client portfolio including technical and engineering needs. They are a successful HVAC company that owns 3 different manufacturers and operates across 65 countries, having been in operation for over 100 years.
They are currently looking for a CCU Commissioning Engineer to join their team due to expansion across the UK. This engineer will travel in and around London carrying out technical support, commissioning, and diagnostic work across a wide variety of contracts that range from banks, insurance companies, data centres, and gyms.
Duties include:
- Technical support, commissioning, and diagnostic work on AHU and Close Control systems.
- Providing technical support to clients and fellow engineers.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team.
- Coordinating with the project delivery management team and liaising with planners.
- Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean manner at all times.
- Producing, managing, and maintaining critical spares lists.
Close Control Commissioning Engineer Position Requirements:
- Understanding of HVAC / CCU controls equipment is beneficial.
- Technical knowledge of Close Control and various HVAC systems.
- Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and HVAC control software is beneficial.
- City and Guilds 2079 or City and Guilds/NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to pass or hold a DBS and security clearance.
Close Control Commissioning Engineer Position Remuneration:
- Salary: £50-55k based on experience.
- 50-hour contract, with 10 hours paid for travel and 40 hours for site time.
- Travel outside the 50 hours is paid at 1.5x.
- Overtime: 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sun/Bank Holidays.
- Company van – personal use to be discussed.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays – option to purchase up to 5 more days.
- Call-out: 1-7 with £150 standby, overtime, and travel pay.
- Pension (5% EE, 4% ER).
