Position: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Our client, a specialist M+E services provider who have been established for 45 years, are seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team due to ongoing growth.

The commercial gas engineer will be carrying out servicing and repairs of commercial heating systems across a range of commercial sites, including prisons, educational buildings and government sites. The engineer must be based in or within commutable distance to Derby and Nottingham.

The commercial gas engineer must hold in date ACS commercial gas qualifications. As this role will involve working in prison environments, the engineer must be able to pass security checks / DBS.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 16:30pm (30 mins unpaid lunch).
  • Travel paid after 30 mins each way.
  • Overtime at enhanced rates (up to 1.82x basic rate).
  • 1 in 7 weeks call out rota.
  • Company van and fuel card.
  • Annual Bonus: Discretionary, based on business and individual performance after 12 months of service.
  • Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Death in Service Insurance: 3x annual salary.
  • Enhanced Sick Pay: 4 weeks full pay after 7 days of sickness (post-probation).
  • Tools & Equipment: Mobile phone, tablet, and specialist tools provided.

Job Requirements

  • Based in the Derby or Nottingham areas.
  • ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications.
  • Expertise in commercial boiler servicing, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass CTC clearance checks.
  • Willing to work in secure environments, such as prisons, with strict safety and security protocols.
  • A valid driver's license.
