A respected multidisciplinary construction and building consultancy, known for delivering Mechanical and Electrical Design, Building Surveying, and Project Management services, are looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding Building Services team in Billericay.
The business has built a strong reputation across the Education and Healthcare sectors, delivering a range of new build and refurbishment projects including schools, teaching blocks, laboratories, GP surgeries and hospital upgrades. Salary & Benefits:- Salary: Circa £40,000 (dependent on experience)

As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, procurement, and delivery of a variety of MEP projects, primarily within the education and healthcare sectors. You will support senior engineers in producing detailed electrical designs and specifications, carrying out project management duties, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Job Requirements:- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar relevant discipline
- Proven experience working within a consultancy or design environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including LV Distribution, Lighting, Fire Alarms, Data, and Access Control
- Familiarity with relevant design standards (BS7671, BS5839, BS5266, etc.)
- Experience using software such as Dialux and Trimble for calculations
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Working towards, or willing to work towards, membership with CIBSE or IET
- Experience within the education or healthcare sectors (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of RIBA stages of work (desirable but not essential)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (desirable but not essential)
