Location: Glasgow (with regional travel)

Bennett & Game Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to lead their Scottish operations from their Glasgow office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an operationally focused leader with a strong ground investigation background to take ownership of project delivery, commercial performance and business growth across the region. The role would suit someone looking to step into a senior leadership position where they can make a genuine impact on the development of both the team and the business.

Contracts Manager - Ground Investigation Salary & Benefits:

Contracts Manager - Ground Investigation Job Overview:

  • Lead the successful delivery of multiple ground investigation projects across Scotland.
  • Manage and develop Project Managers, Site Engineers and operational teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
  • Oversee operational planning, resource allocation and project performance.
  • Drive commercial performance through effective forecasting, cost control and financial management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to regional growth.
  • Champion Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards throughout the business.
  • Mentor and develop staff while creating a positive, high-performing team culture.

Contracts Manager - Ground Investigation Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience within the ground investigation sector.
  • Previous experience in a Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or similar senior operational role.
  • Strong operational leadership with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, including project profitability, forecasting and financial management.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
  • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant Earth Science, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
