A new opening has arisen for an Apprentice Accountant to join a growing practice based in Camberley, who service entrepreneurial and high growth businesses. The practice are ideally looking for a graduate or college leaver, with a passion for numbers, and ambition to become an accountant. Full study support will be provided within this apprenticeship, as you progress through accountancy qualifications and seniority.
Apprentice Accountant Job Responsibilities
- Trainee accountant to undertake a formal training contract to study for their ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Undertake bookkeeping to trial balance, prepare VAT returns and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare annual Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
- Also prepare some client payrolls, personal tax returns, assist on audits, and develop, document and update new procedures and systems.
- Ad hoc assignments as necessary.
Apprentice Accountant Job Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English, preferably grade 6 or above. Three relevant A Levels, including Mathematics, at Grade B or above is preferred.
- We are looking for someone with initiative and drive, who is hardworking and organised with a "can do" attitude, and is not afraid to take on new tasks.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and working to deadlines are an integral part of the role. Personality and a sense of humour are also important.
- Must be able to commute to Camberley office 4 days a week.

- Standard salary for an Apprentice.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. This rises with service.
