Bennett & Game Recruitment are representing a leading advanced manufacturing business looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their growing team base in North-West London. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and running advanced CNC machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace, defence, energy, and robotics customers. This is a hands-on role with full ownership of the machining process, from CAM programming and prove-out to cycle time improvement and repeat production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and optimise CNC toolpaths (3-axis, 5-axis and mill-turn where applicable)
  • Set, prove-out and run jobs to high aerospace and defence standards
  • Improve cycle times and machine efficiency
  • Design and improve fixturing methods
  • Select tooling and cutting data for materials including aluminium, steel, titanium and Inconel
  • Maintain high quality standards and first-time-right production
  • Support new part introduction from drawing to production
  • Work with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and automation

Requirements

  • Strong CAM programming experience (Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)
  • Experience machining to tight tolerances (±0.01mm and below)
  • Background using high-end CNC machines such as Hermle, DMG Mori or Mazak
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds and workholding
  • Able to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Aerospace, defence or precision engineering experience preferred

Desirable

  • 5-axis machining experience
  • Knowledge of probing, automation or pallet systems
  • Understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary £45-60k DOE
