CAD Designer required to join a well-established fabrications company that are suppliers of high-quality architectural finishes to a range of industries. This opportunity is 60% design oriented with 40% elements of project management, however, has no progression restrictions, and it is up to the candidate how far they want to take it. They are looking for someone committed and ambitious to understand our market.
Offices are in Dartford however regular London site visits and meetings mean this role is not desk bound.
CAD Designer Job Overview
- Manage your own CAD workload.
- Work with fabrication team to overcome any key design issues
- Liaise with client and architect to develop existing relationships
- Attend and survey site liaising with install teams
- Execute project planning and management of labour
- Report to Design Manager and Director.
CAD Designer Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in architectural metalwork design, sheet metalwork or joinery design
- Previous experience in Vertical Transportation (Lifts & Escalators) industry would be beneficial, however training can be provided for the right candidate
- An excellent eye for detail and proven communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Fusion360
- Strong design sensibility and the ability to translate concept design into a buildable project
- Ability to self-manage and work within a team.
CAD Designer Salary & Benefits
- Full time – Permanent
- Monday to Friday – 8am to 5:30pm (Friday finish at 4:30pm) 44 hour week paid for 45 hours.
- Salary – 30,000 – 32,000 (DOE)
- Free parking
- 31 days annual leave including bank holidays
- Pension
