Lab Technician required for a laboratory offering testing of a wide variety of lighting and electronics products based in Bridgend.
Overview:
- Perform testing of lighting products in Safety and Photometry test laboratories.
- Planning and completion of testing allocated samples in a timely manner.
- Set up, conduct and record practical work.
- Analyse output records and calculations.
- Complete standardised test results worksheets for customers.
- Takes responsibility for the completion of tasks.
- Takes responsibility for and maintains laboratory areas and test equipment.
- Continual contribution towards the laboratory's conformance to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
- Work with senior management to identify issues in operational efficiency and propose solutions to these issues and in some cases implement the changes necessary, in line with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system.
Position Requirements:
- BTEC, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- GCSE in Maths and English essential.
- GCSE ICT or equivalent desirable.
Position Remuneration:
Salary dependent on experience likely £26,000-£27,000.
