Job Overview:

  • NEBOSH, IOSH or another recognised Health & Safety qualification
  • Proven experience working as a SHEQ / Health & Safety Advisor within construction
  • Experience within civil engineering, groundworks or residential projects (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to wider regional and company objectives
  • Strong audit, reporting and compliance monitoring skills
  • IT literate with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Job Requirements:

  • Provide professional advice and support to senior management and site teams on SHE
  • Attend pre‐commencement and pre‐start meetings to contribute to early project planning and risk management
  • Assist with statutory notices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Escalate serious breaches of company policy, procedures or legislation to senior management
  • Promote and embed a positive Health & Safety culture across the business
  • Support the Regional SHEQ Manager with the development of SHEQ strategies and internal policies
  • Produce, review and communicate RAMS
  • Carry out planned site inspections, audits and ensure follow‐up actions are completed
  • Identify training needs and deliver site‐based training and toolbox talks
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near‐misses, producing reports and recommendations
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and other applicable statutory requirements
