Job Overview:
- NEBOSH, IOSH or another recognised Health & Safety qualification
- Proven experience working as a SHEQ / Health & Safety Advisor within construction
- Experience within civil engineering, groundworks or residential projects (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently while contributing to wider regional and company objectives
- Strong audit, reporting and compliance monitoring skills
- IT literate with good written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Job Requirements:
- Provide professional advice and support to senior management and site teams on SHE
- Attend pre‐commencement and pre‐start meetings to contribute to early project planning and risk management
- Assist with statutory notices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Escalate serious breaches of company policy, procedures or legislation to senior management
- Promote and embed a positive Health & Safety culture across the business
- Support the Regional SHEQ Manager with the development of SHEQ strategies and internal policies
- Produce, review and communicate RAMS
- Carry out planned site inspections, audits and ensure follow‐up actions are completed
- Identify training needs and deliver site‐based training and toolbox talks
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near‐misses, producing reports and recommendations
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and other applicable statutory requirements
