Bennett & Game are representing an established and growing construction contractor who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Build Division. The business forms part of a wider £70m turnover group, with the Build Division generating approximately £30m-£40m annually. The division delivers a broad range of general build and leisure projects, typically ranging from £100k through to £28m-£30m, with a particularly strong track record in leisure centre and swimming pool developments.
Their work is secured predominantly through a well-established UK leisure framework, providing a strong pipeline of repeat business and early involvement in projects. Their approach includes early contractor involvement, design development and full design & build delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a close-knit commercial team at an important stage of the company's continued growth.
The successful individual will work across a number of live and upcoming projects, initially gaining an understanding of the business and its systems before taking a key commercial role on larger schemes. The business has around 10-15 senior staff across pre-construction, design, planning and project management, with a strong existing team in Leeds, and operates with a relaxed, collaborative and relatively flat structure.

- £65,000 - £80,000 salary depending on experience
- Company car or £7,000 annual car allowance
- 10% annual bonus scheme
- Company pension
- Private healthcare
- Paid annual leave, with additional leave accrued through length of service
- Hybrid working with flexibility to work from the Leeds or Sutton-in-Ashfield office, from home and on project sites
Position Overview
- Take commercial ownership of a number of live and upcoming construction projects across the business
- Support the pre-construction team and site management teams from tender and early contractor involvement through to project completion
- Take over tenders and ensure accurate cost plans, budgets and commercial strategies are established

- Work closely with project managers, site teams, designers and the wider pre-construction function to ensure projects are delivered commercially and operationally
- Manage subcontractors, procurement, variations, valuations, final accounts and commercial negotiations
- Provide commercial input across a varied portfolio of general build, leisure and refurbishment projects
- Initially support a number of smaller projects across the North West before progressing onto larger schemes within the company's pipeline
- Work collaboratively with the wider business, including its in-house delivery capabilities and specialist divisions
Position Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within general building / main contracting
