Bennett and Game are working with an established civil engineering and highways contractor with a strong regional presence seeking an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial Team. You will play a key role in managing financial control across multiple sites, protecting commercial interests and supporting the delivery of high-value infrastructure projects throughout the Northwest.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing site measurements and weekly cost/production reports
- Completing cost forecasts and commercial reporting
- Liaising with site teams to assess and prepare quotations and estimates
- Managing subcontractors (enquiries, orders, payment assessments)
- Producing valuations and submitting to clients
- Interpreting drawings and instructions, agreeing estimates with site teams and clients
- Agreeing final accounts with all parties in a timely manner
- Monitoring stock control and reporting to the Financial Director
- Supporting finance/admin teams in account settlement
- Assisting monthly and quarterly reporting preparation
- Maintaining clear, accurate records and representing the business professionally at all times
- Any other reasonable duties as required by management
Experience & Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Proven commercial experience within civil engineering (especially highways/structures)
- Extensive experience with private and public sector clients
- Solid working knowledge of NEC (mainly) and JCT contract forms
- Excellent commercial awareness, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational ability and self-motivation
- Proficiency in IT (MS Office, Outlook, measurement software)
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- People management skills and a collaborative approach within a team environment
