The business covers the full spectrum of roofing works, including pitched roofing, flat roofing, listed and heritage buildings, surveying, budget proposals and consultancy, delivering tailor-made solutions from concept to completion for commercial, public sector and residential clients.

You will be central to the business development function, pricing a varied workload of roofing schemes and working closely with senior management to win the right work at the right margin. Estimator Salary & Benefits- Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (DOE)

- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates across pitched roofing, flat roofing and heritage and listed building schemes
- Carry out take-offs from drawings and specifications, calculating labour, material and preliminary costs
- Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, maintaining accurate records throughout
- Populate and submit client pricing schedules, bills of quantities and budget proposals
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to support pricing accuracy and client relationships
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to clarify scope and requirements
- Research current material, labour and plant costs to ensure pricing remains competitive
- Support handover of secured projects to the delivery team
- Assist with surveying and budget proposal preparation where required
- Proven estimating experience within roofing, ideally covering both pitched and flat roofing systems
- Good knowledge of roofing specifications, materials and construction methods
- Confident pricing tenders independently from enquiry through to submission
- Experience with heritage or listed building schemes would be an advantage
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good communication skills, able to liaise professionally with clients and consultants
- Full UK driving licence
