We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Preston. Role Overview

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Install, test, and commission agricultural machinery and systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers when required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service and operational targets.
  • Attend customer sites for breakdowns and field service work when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and developments within the agricultural engineering sector.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Agricultural Engineer, Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Experience working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications are desirable.
