Our client who is a well-established specialist in Energy generation equipment, is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer who will oversee the Northeast and York areas, maintaining all generator sets, plan, heat transfer equipment and gas systems. In order to secure this candidate, they are offering a competitive salary of up to £41,600, a generous holiday package totalling 33 days (including bank holidays) and other benefits such as Private Healthcare. Mechanical Engineer Job Overview Day to day operations and maintenance including but not limited to; fault diagnosis, location and rectification. Lead, supervise and undertake the overhaul of reciprocating generator set Planned maintenance and breakdown response for the generator sets with minimum outages. A commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge. Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team in anything you are unsure of. Ensuring a stock of basic spare parts as detailed by the Area Supervisor is replenished and always to hand should there be a breakdown or unscheduled overhaul required. A commitment to Health, Safety Quality and Environmental practices Reducing the company’s reliance on contractors wherever this is economically prudent. Compliance and implementation of company protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting and auditing. Managing your time and travel effectively, staying away from home where appropriate. Mechanical Engineer Job Requirements Extensive knowledge and experience with leading the overhaul of reciprocating generator sets Knowledge and experience of Electrical, Heat and Mechanical maintenance. Familiar with electric control systems 12v DC – 415v AC 30 Gassafe accreditation (or ability to complete accreditation within probation) Experience working with Landfill Gas/specialist fuels/generators is advantageous.
