Welding Technician required to join a well-established Engineering company that is based in the Bedford area. This role is a high-end production welding role, requiring some repetitive work whilst maintaining the high quality required by our industry. The Welding Technician role will be responsible for completing fabricated assemblies to a high standard ready for painting.

Job Overview
  • High-end production welding using a variety of TIG & MIG welding equipment
  • Following drawings to produce weld assemblies to a high standard
  • Preparing products for painting, ensuring metal components are clean and scratch free
  • Responsibility for maintaining stock of welding supplies
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Job Requirements
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG etc.) in mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Be able to identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, including angle grinders, squares, calipers etc.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary - £36,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
  • 15:00 - 01:00 Evening Shift (Monday - Thursday)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme - paying 8% following a 3-month probation completion
  • Overtime available at a competitive rate
