Bennett and Game are pleased to represent a leading reinforced concrete subcontractor seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function across its growing multi-site operation. This is a newly created senior position offering the opportunity to develop and manage the company's quality strategy across major reinforced concrete frame and heavy civil engineering projects valued between £5 million and £30 million.

Job Overview

  • Take ownership of the company's ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System
  • Develop quality procedures, Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans
  • Manage quality assurance across formwork, reinforcement, concreting and cast-in items
  • Oversee permit-to-pour processes, concrete testing and defect investigations
  • Manage NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead internal audits and support external certification audits
  • Produce quality KPIs and performance reports for the senior management team
  • Support and develop Project Managers, Quality Engineers and site teams
  • Promote a right-first-time quality culture across the business

Job Requirements

  • Strong quality management experience within reinforced concrete, civil engineering or construction
  • Detailed understanding of concrete quality, reinforcement, formwork and temporary works
  • Experience managing ISO 9001 systems and quality audits
  • Knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and NCR processes
  • Willingness to travel across projects from the Midlands to the Scottish Borders
  • Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
  • £6,000 car allowance
