A well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of specialist industrial machinery is looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join its friendly team in Ashford on a fixed-term contract until 22nd December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to join a busy export-focused business.
Working within a small administration team, you will provide support across sales administration, purchasing, customer service and shipping activities, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
Job Overview- Producing customer quotations, sales orders and purchase orders
- Progressing customer and supplier orders through to completion
- Liaising with customers via telephone and email
- Coordinating the shipment of goods
- Assisting with import documentation and paperwork checks
- Handling incoming telephone calls and email enquiries
- Supporting the administration team with general office duties
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and efficient order processing
- Previous administration experience within an office environment
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills
