To deliver a professional quality engineering service to the business, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Quality Control requirements. The role involves ensuring product quality, supporting manufacturing operations, maintaining compliance with customer and supplier standards, and driving continuous improvement across inspection and quality systems. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality standards and support operational excellence. Responsible for producing credible inspection and associated reports.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer
- Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects
- Ability to understand complex mechanical engineering drawings
- Good project management skills with regular liaison between customers and suppliers
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (essential)
- Good knowledge of CMM programming with certification issued by the CMM manufacturer or agent
- ISO 9000 Auditor qualification - desirable
Salary & Package:
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
- 4% matched pension scheme after probation
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- Holidays: 23 days per annum + bank holidays
- Monday to Friday working pattern with early finish on Fridays
