Junior Accountant

Bennett and Game are delighted to be working alongside a reputable local accountancy practice in Oxford, as they recruit for a Junior Accountant. Offering up to £30k, study support, progression, training, and more.

This is a small practice looking to grow an accountant, progressing them throughout the business. There will be on-the-job training, support, and development. This job is ideal for someone with a minimum of 1 year accountancy practice experience.

Accounts Trainee Job Overview

• Bookkeeping and Accounts preparation – assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Preparing accounts up to trial balance for review.
• Tax compliance support – Prepare VAT returns and submit to HMRC within deadlines.
• Client Management – Communicate with clients to manage relationships and respond to queries.
• Assisting Senior team members – assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting audits.
• Compliance and reporting – ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Accounts Trainee Job Requirements

• AAT Level 3 is preferred. Any further qualifications are a bonus.
• Minimum of 1 year accountancy practice experience.
• Confidence and ability to complete trial balance.
• Experience in bookkeeping.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to commute to Oxford.
• No requirement for visa sponsorship.
