The company has grown rapidly on the back of a reputation for consistent high-quality service and craftsmanship. Providing bespoke fitted furniture to prestigious residential and commercial projects across the city, our client base includes established designers, main contractors, and end-users.
About the role: If you are an ambitious and driven manager, with a deep understanding of joinery production, and passion for delivering outstanding service and end result, this could be the ideal role for you! Production Manager is a key position at Benjamin's Workshop, providing essential high-level operational management as we consolidate and continue our growth over the coming years. It is a diverse and stimulating position for a highly organised and motivated candidate.
Our Production Manager is responsible for monitoring and allocating company resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality. The successful candidate will form a close partnership with the Joinery Manager, Designer and Workshop Supervisor to collectively oversee delivery of all aspects of our joinery offer.
Key duties:
- Production management: Monitor and update the company's production schedule. Co-ordinate work across departments to ensure work is designed, produced, finished, delivered and installed to schedule. Communicate changes and priorities to the team.
- Project management: Oversee projects from design to installation. Particular focus on managing subcontracted aspects, logistics, also installation. Monitor project quality. Spot potential issues and proactively implement solutions. Maintain fantastic client communications throughout the process.
- Quotes and sales: Provide support defining, quoting and securing new projects.
- Team management: Management of Workshop Supervisor, Sprayer, and on-site Installers. Provide leadership to wider team.
About you:
- Strong cabinetry joinery background.
- Proven experience at Project / Production Manager level.
- Deep understanding of joinery production and finishing processes.
- Skilful and enthusiastic written and verbal communicator.
- Superb personal organisation and time management skills.
- Strong leader with confident, friendly, people management.
- Ability to read architectural and workshop drawings, and extract info required - Friendly and positive demeanour.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- High competence with excel/ google sheets spreadsheet software.
- High performer with ambition and drive to assume higher levels of responsibility.
