We are recruiting a Senior Design Engineer to join a leading provider of scaffolding and temporary works solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take a hands-on lead in delivering innovative designs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring projects meet all technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and verification of scaffolding, temporary works, and structural support systems.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and design technicians.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and provide technical support.
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with TG20, BS5975, CDM regulations, and other standards.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered or near-chartered status preferred (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent).
  • Experience in scaffolding, temporary works, or structural design.
  • Strong knowledge of TG20, BS5975, Eurocodes, and CDM regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or scaffold-specific modelling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Confident in conducting site visits and liaising with project teams.
