An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a long-term rail infrastructure framework. You'll become part of a commercial function, working alongside Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their commercial experience within a supportive team while working across a varied portfolio of civil engineering and building renewal projects.
The Role
You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously across both development and delivery workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost control and commercial management
- Cost forecasting and accrual management
- Producing straightforward CVRs
- Setting up and administering subcontracts
- Managing project finances throughout delivery
- Commercial close-out of completed projects
- Working closely with operational teams both on site and in the office
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience in:
- Quantity Surveying within civil engineering or infrastructure
- FM or maintenance environments managing multiple live projects
- Commercial, finance or project accounting professionals looking to transition into a Quantity Surveying role
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong cost control and forecasting experience
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- NEC contract experience (preferred but not essential)
