We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a leading rail infrastructure business, based in the South east of England and supporting the effective management of health, safety and environmental standards across rail projects and operational activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional H&S advice, support and guidance to operational and project teams.
- Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System.
- Ensuring projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, procedures and safety requirements.
- Acting as a key H&S interface with clients.
- Leading and supporting accident, incident and close-call investigations.
- Ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively implemented and closed out.
- Supporting audits, inspections and compliance activities.
- Contributing to tender and work-winning activities.
- Supporting RM3 assessments and resulting improvement plans.
- Developing and supporting members of the wider team.
- Promoting a positive and proactive health and safety culture.
About you:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong experience within rail or construction.
- Good understanding of H&S legislation, management systems and industry standards.
- Experience managing investigations, audits and corrective actions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable providing advice and challenge at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
- PTS
- IOSH membership and/or Chartered status desirable.
