Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a family friendly and supportive large growing business. As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will support the accounts team with day-to-day purchase ledger tasks. This role suits someone who is highly organised, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable managing administrative tasks. You will be required to work Monday-Friday 8:30 - 17:00.
The role of Purchase Ledger Clerk includes:
- Match invoices to delivery tickets and purchase orders
- Assist with the processing of supplier invoices
- Communicate with sites and suppliers via phone and email to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional information
- Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure all invoices and credits are accounted for
- Resolve purchase invoice queries through both email and telephone communication with suppliers and internal departments
- Maintain accurate and well-organised filing systems for invoices and delivery tickets
- Support the accounts and purchasing team with ad hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate for the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
- Previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experience
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage 50 Accounts (preferred)
- Competent in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook
