This is a key role within the Business Finance Team, providing financial leadership, commercial insight and constructive challenge to support strategic, operational and financial objectives. Working closely with Business Unit leaders across a diverse range of operations, you will act as the crucial link between finance and the wider organisation. The role of Senior Finance Business Partner:
- Acting as a trusted financial advisor to Business Unit leaders, providing high-quality analysis, insight and constructive challenge
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and helping to embed a commercially focused, performance-driven culture
- Supporting stakeholders in understanding the key drivers behind revenue, costs, margins and cash performance
- Supporting the annual budgeting process, medium-term financial planning and ongoing forecasting
- Translating business objectives into clear financial plans, KPIs and measurable performance targets
- Analysing Business Unit performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Preparing financial information and analysis for monthly business performance reviews
- Providing clear commentary around financial variances, performance drivers and root causes
- Reviewing unit economics, operational efficiency and cost structures to identify opportunities to improve performance
- Preparing and reviewing financial models and business cases to support commercial and operational decision-making
- Evaluating capital investment proposals, commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Carrying out scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support informed decision-making
- Supporting the development and improvement of management reporting, dashboards and performance packs
- Ensuring financial information and KPIs are accurate, relevant and aligned with the needs of the business
- Challenging legacy reporting and helping move the organisation towards more forward-looking, insight-led analysis
- Presenting financial information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues
- Working collaboratively with FP&A, Controlling, Business Unit leaders and the wider finance team
- Supporting non-finance stakeholders with budget management and improving financial understanding and accountability
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting and strengthen financial controls
- Supporting improvements to ERP systems, financial tools and data flows
- Championing consistency, data quality and best practice across the finance function
