About the Credit Controller role:
To ensure the effective management of customer credit, receivables, and cash allocation processes, supporting the company's working capital objectives and maintaining accurate financial records. The role is responsible for administering customer accounts, monitoring credit exposure, collecting aged debt, and ensuring timely and accurate posting of bank transactions within the ERP system. In addition, this position supports the wider Finance team by assisting with month-end activities and providing ad hoc financial and accounting support to maintain strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.
You will also support the wider Finance team with month-end processes and ad hoc finance queries—making this a varied and interesting role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately allocate customer payments and reconcile bank transactions within the ERP system
- Manage customer onboarding, including credit assessments and setting up accounts
- Proactively chase outstanding debt and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor and manage credit limits and accounts on hold
- Provide support during month-end close and assist with ad hoc financial queries
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar Credit Control or Accounts Receivable position
- Strong Excel skills and confident using financial/ERP systems
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience using modern ERP systems or reporting tools such as Power BI
