As part of our clients' expansion, we are recruiting for a dynamic and forward-thinking Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Business Partner. The role of the Assistant Accountant:
- Posting month end accruals and prepayments
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare ad-hoc data analysis as required to provide a detailed understanding of the department's financial performance
- Support FBP in completion of month end reporting requirements
- Provision of data for the annual audit process
- Support completion of department's P&L forecast by month, on a quarterly basis
- Support completion of the financial full year budget, by month for department
- Loading of financial forecast and budget into Sage X3
- Complete weekly department's KPI report
- Support Finance Business Partner in providing deep dive analysis as required on department's performance
- Work closely with department and provide them with support to understand their financial numbers
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accountant:
- Part qualified accountant of a recognised body or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Strong excel skills and ability to build financial files up from scratch, guided by the FBP
- Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Confidence to seek help and support
