We work with individuals facing a wide range of psychological challenges, offering integrative and evidence-based talking therapies that prioritise the therapeutic relationship and long-term change.
As we continue to grow, we\’re looking for an exceptional Senior Psychotherapist to join our team — someone with accredited EMDR training or at least 8 years’ experience working with complex clinical presentations, including PTSD, early developmental trauma, phobias, personality difficulties, and attachment-based issues.
Who This Role is For
This role is ideal for therapists looking to deepen their private practice in a supportive, flexible, and clinically rich environment. Whether you\’re building up from an NHS background or already established in private practice and seeking additional referrals, we offer the structure and freedom to help you thrive.
You must be available on selected weekdays or weekends and live within 30 minutes of Benfleet, as some days may involve just one or two clients in person.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychotherapy to clients with complex trauma and longstanding emotional difficulties
- Deliver EMDR therapy (if trained), or draw on other trauma-informed approaches
- Keep accurate, confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and ethical guidelines
- Engage sensitively with clients, referrers, and team members when needed
- Contribute to case formulations, treatment planning, and reflective clinical discussion
- Participate in peer support and supervision opportunities (optional but encouraged)
Essential Criteria
- A recognised qualification in psychotherapy, counselling psychology or clinical psychology
- Full professional accreditation (e.g. BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BABCP)
- EMDR Europe Accredited Training (Part 1–4 completed) or 8+ years post-qualification experience with complex or high-intensity presentations
- Experience working with trauma, ideally within private practice or NHS settings
- Strong ethical awareness and clinical independence
Desirable Criteria
- Further training in models such as IFS, Schema Therapy, DBT, or Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
- Experience supporting other therapists or offering clinical supervision
- Willingness to offer evening or weekend appointments if working remotely
You will be self employed and available at various days in the week/weekend.
