Role Description

The Decontamination Services Technician role is a full‑time, on‑site position based at Benenden, designed to support the hospital\’s high standards of patient care. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include cleaning, maintenance, and safe handling of medical equipment and instruments. This role involves working within a highly controlled environment, adhering to strict decontamination protocols, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to handle tasks independently or as part of a team. Collaboration with the wider clinical and operational teams will be integral to maintaining the seamless operation of decontamination services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare or a similar environment would be advantageous.
• A relevant qualification in decontamination or sterilization processes is desirable but not mandatory.
