About the role

As a Porter, you will:

• Safely transport patients, beds, equipment and supplies throughout the hospital.
• Support clinical departments with the movement of specimens, instruments and patient records
• Assist with the collection and transportation of waste streams in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Drive hospital vehicles to transport equipment and supplies on and off site.
• Assist during emergency situations and support the wider hospital team as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and customer service at all times.

Skills and experience required

You will have:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
• A caring and professional approach when interacting with patients, visitors and colleagues.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in a customer service, logistics, healthcare or operational environment would be advantageous.
