We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of our South West territory, building new relationships and driving sustainable growth across the region.
This is a genuine new business role suited to someone who thrives on creating opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers and delivering results. You'll be self-motivated, adaptable and confident working autonomously, with the drive to grow your territory while representing a trusted not-for-profit healthcare organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Generating and converting new business opportunities across the South West region (Reading along the M4 corridor to Cornwall), working with organisations of varying sizes and engaging with decision-makers at all levels, including senior leadership teams.
- Developing and executing a territory plan to drive new business growth.
- Identifying, prospecting and securing new business opportunities.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to close.
- Delivering consultative sales presentations both virtually and face-to-face.
- Attending networking events, exhibitions and industry conferences.
- Maintaining accurate records and pipeline management through Salesforce.
- Ensuring all activity aligns with FCA requirements and regulatory standards.
What we're looking for

- A track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling in a consultative manner to senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills.

Travel and training
This is a field-based role covering the South West region, from Reading through to Cornwall. You'll be expected to travel regularly across your territory, attend exhibitions and events throughout the year, join team meetings in York approximately 6-7 times annually, including occasional overnight stays, and attend a mandatory two-week induction programme in York when you join us (travel and accommodation provided).
