Benenden Health is a leading UK not-for-profit healthcare provider committed to offering low-cost private healthcare. We are currently recruiting for an Information Governance Officer, who has a strong knowledge of data protection.
Reporting into the Group Data Protection Officer, we are looking for an Information Governance Officer to provide technical support on Information Governance and Data Protection.
Key Accountabilities- Implement and maintain the Record of Processing Activities.
- Lead on the day-to-day management and oversight of low and negligible data breaches, assessing breaches within 72 hours of notification.
- Assess data protection risks and controls in compliance with internal policies.
- Deliver the supplier due diligence process, assess outputs and escalate as appropriate.
- Advise the business on Legitimate Interests Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Support with the creation and delivery of business training and awareness.
- Provide regulatory advice and support to the business on data protection legislation and cyber security matters.
- Strong knowledge of data protection law, including the DPA 2018 and UK GDPR.
- Ability to identify and assess risks, including those arising from a data breach.
- Excellent accuracy, along with written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Stakeholder management and ability to liaise with cross functions to deliver objectives.
The Benenden Health office is based in York and whilst we do work hybrid, there is a requirement of weekly office attendance.
