Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working pattern: Alternate weekly shifts (Week 1: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Week 2: 9:00am - 5:00pm)

About the role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Receptionist to join our Newcastle Upon Tyne office. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Combining reception duties with a range of administrative responsibilities, you'll help ensure operations run efficiently, delivering excellent service and support across the business from our modern, city-centre office with close transport links.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a professional and welcoming reception service.
  • Managing incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries to the appropriate teams and colleagues.
  • Supporting the day-to-day administration of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinating meeting rooms, visitor arrangements, post, deliveries and courier services to support the smooth running of the office.
  • Maintaining reception and communal areas to a high standard, creating a positive experience for visitors and employees.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks including document preparation, data entry, filing and record management.
  • Supporting colleagues across the business with ad hoc administrative and office support activities.
  • Ordering and monitoring office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service and contribute to the smooth running of the office.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent personal interaction skills, the role will include interactions with clients and colleagues based in Newcastle and beyond.
  • Experience of data input
  • Appropriate IT skills
