About the role

Benefact Group are looking for a Desktop Technician to join our London office. You’ll be responsible for providing a 1st class support service and a resilient desktop infrastructure at the London Branch Office, acting as part of the Group Technology team, demonstrating specialist expertise to facilitate and execute the provision, installation and maintenance of system software and hardware.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the technology team by effectively planning, prioritising, and managing workloads.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to users, resolving incidents efficiently and acting as a key liaison with service providers when issues escalate.
  • Proactively monitor and optimise desktop systems and performance, using data and problem management practices to improve reliability and meet service levels.
  • Maintain strong governance across change, asset, and hardware management, including documentation, software packaging, and coordination with vendors.
  • Build strong relationships, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and continuously develop personal skills while identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.

What you'll need to have

  • Relevant Microsoft desktop technology certification (or willingness to achieve within 12–24 months) alongside proven desktop IT experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in desktop support and build creation, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage clearly with technical teams, business users, suppliers, and customers.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong relationships and a commitment to delivering high service standards.
  • Professional, proactive, and adaptable team player with a positive attitude, strong initiative, enthusiasm for learning, and solid educational background (minimum A‑level standard).
